The Historic NVL Auction

Under the theme "उचाइको नयाँ उडान — A New Flight to Greater Heights", the Nepal Volleyball League staged the country's first-ever (Men's) professional volleyball player auction. Franchise owners, dignitaries and volleyball administrators gathered on one stage as name after name was drawn and bid for — turning athletes into franchise stars in real time.

Six provincial franchises assembled their squads across categories — type, category, position and club/province — in a format never before seen in Nepali sport. Organised by Kedia Group, the auction marked the moment NVL moved from an idea to a fully professional league, giving Nepali players a structured, transparent pathway to a career on court.
